[ This sort of thing always came as an expected thing for what he was, but it didn't prepare him for it in the slightest.
Pain was bitter, sharp and left Roxas reeling more than he wanted to admit. He was something of an unusual vampire, as that was what got him into this situation to start with but he didn't regret it. Considering there was a LOT of things he knew he could never take back, protecting one of his friends from an attack would never be one of them.
However, he had underestimated his enemy and hadn't been fast enough to dodge every attack.
That was why there was quite the sizable gash in his left side and another, less severe one on his right thigh. Roxas clutched at his side and used the other to brace against the alley wall for support, occasionally leaving bloody smears along the dirty, worn brick. He was in no fit state to go and get any sort of food and his phone was dead, so he couldn't text Xion and see if she was safe.
Everything about this was bad, as he was leaving a blood trail and the chance that the enemy that caused this was going to find him and finish the job was pretty high. He didn't even wanna think about the idea that any hunters could come across his injured self all the same, so while he could fight? There wasn't much strength left in him.
So after a few more steps, Roxas shook his head and moved to slump against the wall and slunk down until he was sitting on the ground. Looking no more than some seventeen year old kid, dressed in a short sleeved black shirt with a longer sleeved shirt underneath emblazoned with a checkered design. His pants were a pair of light, faded jeans and some worn sneakers, all of which drew attention to the bright, gravity-defying spiky blond hair and blue eyes that most knew him for.
If anyone didn't know better - and most didn't - he was able to pass for a normal teenager. Though he hadn't been one for a good couple centuries now. ]
Heh. If I die here... I wonder how mad Axel's gonna be after...
[ He closed his eyes, head resting against the wall. Nothing much was going to be done about this as it was. There was no strength left in him. Not with those two injuries and the blood he'd lost already. ]

Date: 2019-12-27 11:24 pm (UTC)From:But he did know one thing, as he surveyed the scene. They were bleeding, and had gone off-...]
That way!
[He moved with speedy care, keeping an eye out. This hunter certainly seemed younger than most, and though he was dressed in reds and blacks he seemed cheerier than the usual dour, doom-and-gloom sort. Tracking vampires down could certainly take it out of a person, but it wasn't about the game for this one, it was about the result. Helping others. And somewhere out there someone- something? -might need that help.
He just hoped he could get there in time. There was quite a lot of blood on this trail...]

Date: 2019-12-27 11:38 pm (UTC)From:He was fully expecting the loud shout any second now, of some ugly demon, other vampire or something or the valiant speak of some stone-faced hunter who reveled in telling him how disgusting he was. It got tiring to hear such a thing after a while, grating on his nerves and it was bad enough his mood was kind of shot at the moment.
Roxas made to push himself up so he was more properly sitting with his back against the wall with one hand trying to staunch the blood flow from the wound on his side somewhat futilely. ]
Guess it's my fault for picking somewhere so open, isn't it?
[ Muttering that in a low tone, he cracked his eyes open and waited. ]

Date: 2019-12-27 11:54 pm (UTC)From:No, vampire.
...Vampire??
He was confused, staring. None- none of them were like that! Were they...? Most were monstrous, like what he thought might've been on the other end of that fight. This one seemed more human-
And he was hurt. So that's where the blood had come from.
So, though Sora kept a hand close to where he could summon his weapon from, he did step closer and kneel a few paces away. Expression warred between caution and concern, but it was the latter that won out in the end.]
Do you need some help...?

Date: 2019-12-28 12:14 am (UTC)From:There was definitely something that made him different, so he supposed he couldn't blame the brunet from staring at him like that. Maybe it was because commonly, most vampires were vicious and embraced what they were. The one who'd tried to attack his friend before he'd stepped in certainly had been.
Maybe it was because unlike the others, his eyes were blue and not the bright, vivid golden-yellow. Others had called him a 'freak of nature', despite he was incredibly strong. Which meant he'd defend himself the best he possibly could from this guy who was very clearly a hunter, but what he couldn't wrap his mind around? Had to be that the other looked to be somewhere around his age.
Roxas was halfway to making a comment on such a thing when the other teen knelt down, to where he had to stop and think hard on what the hunter had asked him. ]
...Depends on what you mean by 'help'. Surprised you haven't just killed me yet.
[ He winced a little as a small shift jarred the wound on his right leg. He had to be imagining this, right? Maybe it was just the blood loss talking. ]

Date: 2019-12-28 12:25 am (UTC)From:There was something else too, that was winning out over his training. His sense of decency, of desire to help. Which is why, when the strange vampire-something spoke about not being killed yet, he did the first thing he thought of. Moving his hand up and away from his side, holding both where they could be seen, fingers spread.]
Look, I can't explain that. But I do know I want to help.
[This was so confusing someone help HIM please.]

Date: 2019-12-28 01:11 am (UTC)From:Yeah? You're a hunter, right?
[ It was more of a rhetorical question over anything else, as it should be obvious; same went with that as he spoke, one could see the tips of his fangs from time to time. ]
You're saying you want to help me... but for what reason? To kill me later? Surrender me to the Hunters' Order for experimentation?
[ He had a LOT of reasons to doubt the one before him, though quite aware everything about him just seemed... tired. Maybe a small part of his mind was a bit interested in this, however.
Mostly in wanting to know what the other was going to say, and wondering if the other's true colors would show themselves. ]

Date: 2019-12-28 01:47 am (UTC)From:[There was really no reason to lie about that, even if he would've in the first place.]
I don't want to kill you, or anything like that! I promise. You might not trust me right now but... But I want to help. Just lemme take a look at the injury. I'll take care of that, and then... that'll be it. Okay?
[It went against everything he had trained for. Healing a vampire. Letting them go. But this was strange, and there was more to it than it seemed. Better take this one bit at a time.]

Date: 2019-12-28 02:42 am (UTC)From:He drew his hand back from his injured side to reveal the gash, one that surely would have killed a human by now. His gaze fell to the other teen cautiously, a part of him waiting for that inevitable stake thrust into his chest or his head sliced clean off by a weapon without warning. ]
There. Think it's something you can handle?
[ One couldn't blame him for being skeptical, having spent years being hunted and treated like a monster. He hadn't really met any normal people or anyone who treated him with any level of real respect or courtesy. ]
You're an odd one. Can't say I've ever met a hunter who wanted to help me.

Date: 2019-12-28 03:06 am (UTC)From:But he had a question to ask and a duty to perform. He nodded, edging forward some and rubbing his hands together.]
Yeah. I might not be able to heal it all the way, but we're taught something that'll at least help...
[He held his hands out until they were a few inches above the wound. After a moment or two of intense concentration, a soft light slowly built around his hands.]
You know, the other hunters say I'm an odd one too. [Half amused noise; attempt at humor?] I don't mind. I do what I do, and that's that.

Date: 2019-12-28 08:32 am (UTC)From:Either way there was no going back from this. ]
If it works, my body should be able to heal the rest of the way.
[ After all, Vampire healing was VERY accelerated but usually happened when one wasn't losing their blood everywhere and had access to blood of any sort. ]
Huh. A hunter who thinks outside the box. That's new.
[ Roxas couldn't help the amused smile that faintly curled his lips then, watching the brunet almost curiously now. Focusing more on him over anything else. ]
